Tikum Titus Akuro is a Cameroonian filmmaker, he hails from Ashong-Batibo sub division of the North West Region of Cameroon. He started effective filmmaking in the year 2004 as an assistant director / additional screenplay Wright for the Film titled: (Passion In Kibaba).
Thereafter, he continue in many other film projects and in 2008/9 he wrote, produced and Directed his first film titled: (Bitter Experience) through which many of his skills were discovered by his peers.
In 2010, he wrote, produced and directed his second film titled: (Atonement Calabash) in which he handled a particular cultural aspect that cuts across West / Central Africa with specificities to how the Moghamo Man handles issues of suicide. This film accelerated him further in the craft of film making as he continue studying and making research on how to make more and better films.
He has written and produced several other films such as (Great Passion, Greater than Love, The Benefactor, Early Sunset, Emancipate Yourself From Slavery, The Testament, Blind Mission, etc).
He has won awards such as Red Feather awards, LFC Awards, NBACA, Dama awards, Camyujuf. Nominations like Ecrans Noirs, Zafaa, , Camaa Awards, ALAN Awards etc.
Beside filmmaking craft, Tikum T. Akuro is also Theater practitioner, his currently the National Organizing Secretary of the Cameroon Film Industry (CFI Board).
